E-learning Project Connect

Connecting e-learning jobs, e-learning projects, and e-learning professionals.

Hi Folks,

It has been some time since I have made some solid contributions here. Well the fact of the matter is, I have been a bit up in the air career wise and it has resulted in a redundancy package. A bit crappy I know, I have become a statistic of the GFC but hey, you know what they say, "one door closes.."

Yep, so the good news is I have started my own business. I am now the Director of my own company. I never thought I'd say that....The business is called We-Learn and we can assist small businesses and Registered Training Organisations (or anyone for that matter) with their online learing, instructional design and project management. I have launched a new website (using joomla if you are interested) to support the business and this can be found at http://we-learn.com.au The site is still a work in progress but I am particularly happy with the tool I was introduced to by Stephan Schmidt (thanks mate), Prezi.com. I have created a couple of Prezin interactions and I think the result is awesome. So please go over and check out the site.

I have recieved some great feedback about my logo too. A little secret.. I made it myself using Gimp and PowerPoint. I am stoked with the result but I would be keen to hear what you think.

Please, let's get the ball bouncing again here, we have reached over 160 members now and we can all leverage the added connections by contributing more and using this space to get the word out about more projects and jobs. Help out your mates and let us all know if you need some help with a job, or know someone who does.

I look forward to more growth here s my business grows too.

Cheers,
Rhys Moult,
Director,
We-Learn

Thanks folks for all the well wishes. It is great support and really makes me feel connected!

Isaak, are you in Adelaide these days? I just looked at my Twitter and it seems you have dropped off at some stage (I am sure I was following you??) But I just refollowed....

Carole, I joined your Flying E Squad ning, maybe I'll get some time to contribute there soon ;)

Julie, I couldn't get to your site :( I will try again another day.

Good luck!
On your main page you list a few learning management systems. - We use our Open Source home-grown system, KEWL. Check out what we are currently doing regarding eLearning implementation and use of eTools - by visiting my recent blogs. If you visit our site: http://uwc.ac.za
Browse the menu for 'E-Learning Development & Support'. Within this section I have created a piece on 'Sharing best eLearning practices'. I link visitors to the blogs and ask them to share their eLearning experiences (our community of practice) - specifically on how to teach effectively online.

Hi Rhys
Always good to hear about new consultants ready and able to support RTOs in developing e-learning . Will check out out website. Joomla is great - even non-techies like me can use it!
