Happy to have received this invitation - well done to the organiser.
I work for a company called
WebCare Solutions, and one of our areas of expertise and growth is in creating
Moodle sites for both educational and business clients.
I have only joined the WebCare team about 3 months ago, but am the 'Moodle' person now :) My background is in online education from its early days, and I was one of the first few Learning Technology Mentors at Central TAFE, using WebCT when online learning was still a very new concept.
I am excited about this networking opportunity, as I look forward to connecting with others who are doing similar things. Would love to hear from other Moodlers in particular, and people who may be interested in some project work if skill sets suit.
Look forward to meeting you all, and to inviting others who I think would be interested in this forum.

Thanks for the invite to this group. I hope that I can eventually make worthwhile contributions and I hope that it assists us in the meantime in our new venture.
Thanks for the note.
I'm totally new to elearning solutions though I've provided some inputs for an elearning module that was developed for the National Library Board (Singapore) Academy. I've only provided classroom trainings for internet search strategies and library services. I've also done training for new media for colleagues in the organisation as well as for the public.
Think I'll have to read up on Moodle. And then maybe can start looking for a job in this field.
Thanks.
I see you work for WebCare!
I know WebCare well, infact Melinda Mayne was our CEO at one point!
Im glad she is still moodling!! How funny, please send my regards
six degrees...or maybe its just 1 in old R'Adealaide
Its nice to meet you too.
Im pretty new to all of this, but have been developing an online TAA course for the past 12months. Its coming along quite nicely now in terms of content and sequencing.
I wanted to join this network because i think,...apart from job searching, which i dont need, i feel that Rhys has some great ideas and is always trying new things which is great!
Im interested to know what others are doing and if TAA is a common theme of any other online developers.
Im also keen to try out new open source learning tools and flash components.
I feel the most difficult aspect of elearning (particularly TAA) is the bland content and my latest 'mission' is to uncover some interactivity that is suitable and appropriate for Cert IV TAA.
How's about yrself?
kind regards,

nice to have you here in this community. Sounds like we have some parallels in our work history.
I have been 'brought up' :-) on WebCT and now learning all about Moodle. Have downloaded 'Moodle on stick' to have a bit a play with it and learn the ins and outs.
Love to catch up with you at some stage.
PS. Urszula? German Background?
Cheers
