I'm Chris Sutton owner and MD of eLearnAustralia.com.au. I'm a consultant in eLearning, an educational designer and developer and a trainer of elearning facilitators.
I have a passion for elearning, but not for technology. My philosophy is the use of technology to support learning through the use of appropriate technologies as a way to add dimensions and engagement to the learners experience.
All of the team at eLA are educators first and educational designers second. Our focus is squarely on the learner.
In 2003 I was recognised as an Australian Flexible Learning Leader and spent my scholarship year researching professional development and skills needs for teachers and trainers wanting to move into elearning.
I''m the Elluminate Live support person fior Queensland, but always happy to help anyone, anywhere with elluminate. W e use Elluminate as our virtual office at eLA. Alll our team members work remotely and we collaborate as a team and with clients in the VOffice. We're a bit funky l ike that!!
We've worked on 4 really interesting and challenging Australian Flexible Learning Framework Innovations projects this year, including two for Surf Lifesaving . There are some great projects coming up for next year. We'll need people to work on these, so feel freee tocontact me if you are a trainer or teacher with instructional/educational design skills or a Flash developer with good solid scripting and XML skills. Of course, you also need to be kooky, funky and think outside the box. Text on screen is NOT our approach :)
