Hi everyone,

Well, someone has to lead off…and I am more than happy to do so, as I am currently on the hunt for a job here in Adelaide.

To give you some idea of my background, my e-learning path began when I taught Commercial Cookery at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT 1997 – 2002). In the last view years of my active cookery teaching I incorporated e-learning/teaching into my teaching practices and this integration was rewarded by CIT in 1992 when I was presented with an 'Excellence in E-learning Award'.

Since then I have been passionate about online teaching/learning.

Following my face-to-face teaching, I worked in the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management as an online mentor, which lead me onto a position at CIT's online hub. Here I worked in a team that provided e-learning/ teaching PD sessions/ programs. We also provided WebCT helpdesk support for teachers and students. During this time I also represented the ACT as the Territory’s Toolbox Champion.

Since 2006 I have been the online manager at CIT Solutions, where I implement online learning/ teaching. I moved to Adelaide at the end of 2007 and since then have carried on working for them from my home office.

My experience includes:

• the use of WebCT
• a range of Web2.0 tools
• Online facilitation
• Teaching (Bachelor of Adult Education)
• Designing & developing online content

I am currently in search of a local job here in Adelaide. Please contact me via email stefkate@aapt.net.au or mobile phone 0412809976 where we can discuss my capacities in more detail.

Kind Regards
Steph

G'day,

Work wanted!

Have had many jobs in my career and while I'm seeking another full time position, I'm also looking for work situations as well - part time, casual or contract work in technical training or documentation, media/publishing or even product design, engineering and manufacturing. As soon as I work out the tools of this forum I'll post a resume but for now I guess this can suffice as a cover letter and introduction. (While I'm thinking of it - thanks to Rhys for making this space happen.)

I've recently immigrated to Adelaide from the US where I've had a long career in technical training and technical documentation. I have extensive experience in a wide range of corporate, industrial, military and academic organizations and have maintained an independent consultancy since 1992.

I spent the last 7 years of my career, before relocating to Adelaide, developing technical blended learning and e-Learning curriculum for Canon USA Imaging Systems Group in New York but I also spent 16 years processing engineering data and developing documentation and technician training for a major electronics manufacturer.

Work wanted! Skills broad and extensive! Available for any appropriate job or situation.

Pleased to be here on Project Connect.

Cheers to all.

Hi folks, I am an e-learning consultant who's always on the lookout for project work. I specialise in coaching and mentoring online for educational practitioners and managers who are either exploring technologies, implementing initiatives or embedding innovative practices.

If you want to know what tools to use in each of these stages of embedding; or if you need help in creating a program for professional development in e-learning awareness, confidence or expertise - then I can help you.

If you need to develop your online facilitation skills; or if you wish to train groups of colleagues in the art of online facilitation, in particular moderating in a virtual classroom - then I can help you.

If you require skill development in the use of Web 2.0 tools for your e-learning project management; or if you just need to learn how to implement a Web 2.0 tool in your teaching - then I can help you.

I also specialise in delivering workshops (both online and f2f) on digital storytelling with Photo Story and/or Movie Maker, collaborative website development with wetpaint wikis, eportfolio development with wordpress blogs. I can help you create and publish a podcast; create a personal learning environment using iGoogle; or share your world with tools like Twitter, Ning and Skype and finally how to deliver presentations in Elluminate Live.
